Laptop Screen Repair in Woodstock, GA
A cracked screen doesn’t mean a dead laptop. Whether it took a fall, got closed on a pen, or just started flickering on its own, a screen replacement is usually far cheaper than a new machine.
I’m Justin with Woodstock Computer Repair. I identify the exact panel your model needs, order it, and replace it right at your home — Windows laptops and MacBooks alike. No shipping your laptop away, no weeks of waiting.

Sound Familiar?
Cracked or Shattered Glass
Spiderweb cracks or black ink-blot patches spreading from an impact point.
Lines or Flickering
Vertical or horizontal lines, flickering, or shimmering that comes and goes.
Dim or Black Screen
The laptop is clearly on — you can hear it — but the display stays dark or is barely visible.
Dead Spots and Discoloration
Patches of the screen that stay white, dark, or off-color no matter what's displayed.
Works on an External Monitor
If plugging into a TV or monitor looks fine, the laptop's panel (not the computer) is the problem — good news, that's fixable.
Hinge and Bezel Damage
Broken hinges and cracked frames often travel with screen damage and can be handled in the same repair.
How Screen Replacement Works
Laptop screens aren't one-size-fits-all — resolution, brightness, touch or non-touch, and connector type all vary by model. Step one is identifying the exact panel your machine takes, which I confirm from the model and serial before ordering anything.
Once the panel arrives, the replacement itself typically happens in a single in-home visit, and most screen repairs are wrapped up within about 24 hours of having the part in hand.
If the damage turns out to be more than the panel — a bent chassis or a damaged display cable — you'll get the full picture and an honest recommendation on whether the repair still makes sense for your machine's age and value.
Turnaround: most hardware repairs are completed within about 24 hours — exact timing depends on the specific issue and, for replacements, parts availability for your model. You’ll always get an honest estimate of both cost and time before any work begins.
Warranty: every repair is backed by a 30-day workmanship warranty, and replacement parts carry their manufacturer’s warranty. If something I fixed acts up within a month, I come back and make it right.
Pricing: the most common repairs are flat fees, and everything else is $85 per hour plus parts, with the estimate confirmed up front. Free diagnostics, free phone consultation, and no trip charge. If it is not worth fixing, I will tell you that too.
Guarantee: if a fix I completed stops working, I come back and make it right. Simple as that.
I cracked my laptop screen. What will it cost?
Screen replacement is $100 labor plus the panel, and the panel is the variable. A standard 14 or 15.6 inch non-touch panel is the affordable end. Touchscreens, high-resolution and OLED panels, 2-in-1 and gaming laptops, and most MacBooks cost more because the part does. You get the real total for your model on the phone before anything is ordered.
The panel is identified from the model and serial, ordered, and replaced at your home, usually in a single visit once it arrives. If the hinge, bezel, or display cable is damaged too, you hear that up front and it is handled in the same repair.
What it costs
$100 labor plus the panel for your exact model. Diagnosis is free and there is no trip charge. If the laptop is old enough that a new panel is not worth it, I will say so.
How fast
Panels ship per model. Once in hand, most screens are done within about 24 hours, and the replacement itself happens at your kitchen table.
The guarantee
30-day warranty on the work and the manufacturer’s warranty on the panel. Until the panel arrives, an external monitor or TV keeps the laptop usable.
By brand
Lenovo
Lenovo IdeaPad and ThinkPad panels are common and inexpensive. Yoga models with touch and 2-in-1 hinges use costlier assemblies. The model number is on the bottom label and the exact panel is confirmed from the serial before ordering.
Dell
Dell Inspiron and Latitude panels are widely available. XPS and touch models use higher-resolution or bonded assemblies that cost more. The Dell service tag pins down the exact part.
HP
HP Pavilion, Envy, and ProBook panels are routine. HP touchscreens are often a glass-plus-panel assembly rather than a bare panel, which changes both the price and the repair. The product number on the bottom label is what I need.
ASUS
ASUS VivoBook and Zenbook panels are readily available. ROG and TUF gaming laptops use high-refresh panels that cost more and have to be matched exactly to keep the refresh rate.
Acer
Acer Aspire and Swift screens are among the most affordable to replace. Nitro and Predator gaming panels are matched by refresh rate and resolution before ordering.
Apple
MacBook Retina displays are sold as complete lid assemblies, which is why they cost more than a Windows panel. On some models the price gets close to the laptop’s value, and that is a conversation I will have with you honestly first.

FAQs
Is it worth fixing, or should I buy a new laptop?
For most otherwise-healthy laptops, a screen replacement costs far less than replacement. If your machine is old enough that I wouldn't put the money in, I'll tell you.
How long does a screen repair take?
Usually about 24 hours once the correct panel is in hand. Panels are ordered per-model, so total time depends on parts availability for your specific machine.
Do you replace MacBook screens?
Yes — MacBook screen work is common. Some late-model Apple displays are costly enough that we'll talk through whether it's worth it first.
Can I keep using the laptop with a cracked screen?
Usually yes if it's just glass, but spreading cracks and pressure marks tend to get worse. Plugging into an external monitor is a safe stopgap until the panel arrives.
Battery dying too? See laptop battery replacement.
